Tip: Sharing Your Guide

By sharing the link to your guide to sites like Reddit or Facebook, you'll get more eyeballs on top of the usual traffic to HSP. You'll want more eyeballs so you can get more comments, feedback and hopefully more donations/appreciation for your article!

Sharing on Reddit

Here are some tips from fellow contributors on HSP:

  1. Make the title interesting and relevant to the article that you've written. It doesn't have to be gaudy, but "New Rogue Ladder Deck Guide" is a lot less interesting than "New Tempo Rogue Deck Breakdown by Top X Legend".

  2. Write a short description, or an introduction to the guide in your text post, and then an accompanying link to your guide.

  3. Try to foster a discussion within the Reddit thread. Solicit questions and comments from readers. I've gotten a lot of good feedback from readers this way that have helped me improve my guides over time.

  4. There's always a few people out there that will heckle you regardless of how well your guide is written. Either ignore their comments (which will be downvoted anyway), or respond nicely to their question, ignoring their tone of voice.
